We don't run a formal identity-verification or document-audit process on every submission, and we don't claim to. If a specific data point looks off, contact support and we'll review it.

Are the students in the Vault identifiable?

No. Profiles are shown without names or other identifying details - you see the academic and extracurricular data plus the outcome, not who the applicant is.

What does unlocking a profile show me?

Accepted Answer

GPA, SAT/ACT, extracurricular activities, awards, essay topic themes, a counselor-note summary, and the admission decision. Your first unlock is free with no card required; after that, unlocks are covered by your monthly credit allowance.

Why are rejected and waitlisted profiles included?

Rejections and waitlists define the ceiling just as much as acceptances do. Seeing what a rejected applicant's profile looked like at a given school - alongside an accepted one - shows you the actual range of outcomes at that school, not just a highlight reel.

A short, direct breakdown for each gap area: what the applicant had, what you're missing, and one concrete action to close it (e.g. "reach a regional-level competition in X" rather than generic advice like "do more extracurriculars"). It only flags real gaps - if your GPA or test score is already equal to or higher than the applicant's, that's called out as your advantage, not a weakness.

How is this different from the Calculator?

The Calculator (/app/calculator) estimates your admission odds at a school in general. Gap analysis is applicant-specific: it's built by comparing you against one real profile you've chosen, so the output is "here's what this person had that you don't" rather than a general probability.

What if the analysis fails after I've already spent credits?

If generation errors out or times out, you're not left with a spent credit and nothing to show for it - retries on a failed analysis are handled without double-charging. If you ever see credits deducted without a result, contact support and we'll make it right.

The Vault benchmarks you against other applicants. University Research (search, matches, ROI, scholarships) is about the schools themselves - fit, cost, and outlook. Most students use both together: the Vault to close application gaps, and Research to decide where to apply.

Is my personal and application data safe?

Your account data is stored with Supabase (Postgres) behind authenticated access - nothing in your profile, saved essays, or match history is accessible without signing in. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details directly.

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. Data is shared only with the service providers that operate the platform (hosting, authentication, and payments - e.g. Supabase, Stripe, Vercel) and, where you haven't opted out, with analytics and advertising partners in line with our full Privacy Policy.

Who can see my unlocked Vault matches or gap analysis?

Only you. Your unlock history and AI analysis results are tied to your account and are not visible to other users or shown alongside your profile in the Vault.

You keep access through the end of your paid period, and we retain your data only as long as needed for the purposes in our Privacy Policy and legal requirements - after that, it's deleted or anonymized.
