Essay Topics
Explored how humbling my experiences with high school soccer tryouts were and how I grew from those rejections as a person; Showcased my personality but the premise was rather generic. Submitted to Harvard, Purdue, Georgia Institute of Technology, Case Western Reserve University, CMU, Columbia, Duke, Johns Hopkins University, NEU, Princeton & University of Virginia.
- Harvard University
- Performance/Outcome: Really insightful experience that lasted about 30 minutes long
- University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
- Performance/Outcome: HAIL Interview where I spent 30 minutes asking my interviewer questions
- Duke University
- Performance/Outcome: My most relaxed interview; we spent most of the 45 minutes talking about Duke life and she went into how Duke differed from Hopkins & Notre Dame where her sons go
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Performance/Outcome: By far my best and most unique interview; spent close to an hour talking about my passions outside of my major and discovered we both really loved history and traveling
- University of Pennsylvania
- Performance/Outcome: Interviewer was very nice and relaxed but we didn't have too much in common; Was a rather more direct question and answer format so it felt a little stiffer than the other interview experiences
- Princeton University
- Performance/Outcome: Definitely my worst interview performance; Interviewer was really strict on time and followed a strict set of questions that left very little room to showcase my personality
- Case Western Reserve University
- Performance/Outcome: Went a lot longer and more in depth than I expected. Really interesting, learned more about the school and thought I answered the questions pretty well.
