Essay Topics
wrote about my struggle with honesty as both a slam poet and a child in a physically and emotionally abusive environment. it was very hard to write and share with others, but everyone received it really well.
my supplements mostly gave context to my extracurriculars. one of my Brown University supplements was about my Jamaican culture and father's day with an abusive father. my University of Miami supplement was about my health issues with a joke about the toilets at UM. my University of Chicago essay was about my silence in response to a racist ex-friend.

- Performance/Outcome: my interviewer sent me an email saying that my positive attitude, resilience, and hard work are a testament to who I am and the great things he's sure I'll go on to achieve. he believed that I deserved to go to penn and gave me the highest rating possible in his interview summary.
