Essay Topics
My personal essay began with how I did not want to follow in my parents' footsteps in not going to college considering all of the financial hardships we go through. The essay eventually turned into how proud I am to be a first-generation college student.
College statistics professor
I identify this professor as my academic role model. She is the reason I got my part-time job at my college. Ever since the first day of class, we had a strong bond. After I emailed her asking for a letter, she responded by asking me to meet with her so she can get my background story. I feel like this letter carried a lot of my application considering the information I shared with this professor.
College English/writing professor
I identify this professor as the teacher I have the closest personal relationship. I initially had her for both of my intro college writing courses. We have seen each other progress throughout our respective careers as she is now the head of the college's English department. Throughout my senior and fifth years, I would always make time in my schedule to visit her office and we would share life updates. Around campus, we would always have a conversation about what is going on that day between us.
