Essay Topics

Common App Essay

Wrote about MUN and a series of debates/discussions I've had in the past with friends all over the world on a variety of topics and how it's helped to shape my perspective.

Interview Experiences
  • Georgetown University
  • Performance/Outcome: This was my first interview and it was pretty straightforward. The interviewer was nice and everything went fairly smoothly. I did have some trouble asking her questions since her major was not even close to mine, and she got in as a recruited athlete, but overall I think it went fine. Around 30-40 minutes long.
  • Harvard University
  • Performance/Outcome: This interview was fantastic. Me and the interviewer hit it off immediately and much of our conversation wasn't related to the questions at all. It was much more of a back and forth than an ask question and give answer type of thing. Around 2 hours long.
Letters of Recommendation
  • School Principal

We know each other pretty well and he actually wanted to do the same thing I do right now, so I think he talked about that in his rec letter.

  • IB Coordinator/History Teacher

I've had this teacher for 2 years and they both helped me to take the AP world history exam on my own along with advice me on my IB extended essay. We get along very well.

  • MUN Teacher

This teacher knows how passionate I am about MUN and international relations as well. I never saw the letter so I can't say for sure. Had them for 4 years.

  • Scoutmaster

Known them since 2nd grade, very close family friend. They basically watched me grow up for a good portion of my life.
