I wrote about how I learned Italian and the process that I had to go through. I moved to Albania when I was a child, and when I came back to Italy, I had a thick accent that mixed with the Sicilian one, making me feel uncomfortable. After years of studying, I finally eliminated my accent. When I moved to the US, I realized how important that is for my cultural identity and how I learned to appreciate myself and other identities.
- Harvey Mudd College
- Performance/Outcome: This was my first interview and it was in August. That was an amazing 90 minutes long interview. I really had fun with that. I liked it so much that I decided to apply to Early Decision 1. The rejection was really painful.
- Rice University
- Performance/Outcome: Second interview that I took. I hated the interviewer and the school based on him that I ended up not applying at all.
- Stevens Institute of Technology
- Performance/Outcome: Just OK. No pros or cons to be honest.
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Performance/Outcome: My favorite interview so far. It was about an hour-long conversation and my interviewer was really interested in my extracurriculars. We talked about my projects, why I want to go to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and other random stuff.
Computer Science Teacher
She loved me. She was an awful teacher but she loved me for all the projects that I was involved in and the great passion that I put in class and in the several clubs. I think she wrote something about that, plus the involvement that I had in pretty much every single activity. Also, I'm sure she wrote about my personality that she was used to describe me as a bright and natural leader. About academics, I think she wrote that I was pretty good.
English Teacher
I don't really know what she said in the LOR. My grade was pretty average. Nevertheless, she likes me. She says that I am really talkative and I always start interesting discussions in class. Also, she knows me as a really funny and active person so probably she will mention that.
College Counselor
I changed 3 college counselors in the last year. I don't even know who wrote it.
