I talked about how food helped me overcome my perfectionism and how I ultimately grew to enjoy life rather than nitpick all my problems.
- University of Toronto
- Performance/Outcome: I stuttered quite a bit and the questions they gave me were pretty abstract, which caught me off guard.
- University of Waterloo
- Performance/Outcome: I talked about arson, which was not the best choice, but the question was "Tell us about a funny experience and why it was funny," so I elaborated on a time where some guy in my class almost set our school on fire during our Chem IA labs.
Econ teacher
She was my grade 11 econ teacher and also the supervisor for a few clubs I'm in, including student council. I did pretty well in her class, even though my mark was not super high, but it was much higher than class average. I think she knows me pretty well, given that I chat with her a lot before/after school and whenever I'm struggling with anything.
Chem teacher
She was my grade 11 chem teacher! I did super well in her class, and I always talked with her before the school day started. She actually showed me her letter and I think it was pretty good! It detailed a lot of examples of my leadership in class/outside of class and my personality.
French horn teacher
I only sent this one for Northwestern University since they required a music teacher reference for their school of music. She sent me the letter after, and I think it was pretty well! It highlighted pieces that we've worked on and my skill level.
Band director
Again, I only sent this one for Northwestern University for their school of music. I've known my band director since grade 8 as I was invited to play in the band since they needed a French horn, and my cousin invited me. She knows my skill and talent very well.
